Stone Hearts is an original piece by Concordia chair Mark Rosenwinkel about the Bosnian War.
The Bosnian War happened in the early 90's so I searched for as much first hand photographs I could, as well as images from pop culture that would have affected the culture, and especially the youth of Bosnia. For more images and stories of this war please view the online book "Remember Sarajevo" by Roger Richards

The play was done at Concordia University's's chapel. Most character's were on stage or in the aisles at all times so all costume changes were minimal, just to show the passage of time and the wear of living in the woods for over a year. Most characters removed a sweater or jacket to reveal a distressed undershirt. Camila had a skirt that had a front panel that wrapped in two directions to allow for a clean side and a distressed side. |
